Like my promise last week, that i will give you information about  personal space various countries. Today i will give you information about personal space of Myanmar.

Personal Space of Myanmar


Myanmar is country located in southeast Asia. The country that is astronomically located between 11° N-28° N-92° east 100° east is bordered by Bangladesh,India and the Bengal sea to the west. In Myanmar ,there is long-necked race,  the Padaung race. They wear metal around their neck.  The metal circle is used when the girls is 5 years old. Besides that,  do you know that many young children in Myanmar used treads on their neck or wrist as a sign of expelling evil spirit.



The information above explain the location of Myanmar country and some of its uniqueness. You need the underline if you want to visit Myanmar country,  you must know some personal space about Myanmar,  namely:
  • Don't touch anyone in his head because it's considered rude. 
  • Don't pat anyone back
  • Don't point your straight finger in the face(this attitude will have negative effect on someone because it's considered as an accusation or insult .
  • Lower your head slightly when passing someone. 
  • Sirih is their daily snack. But  in the western eyes,  they think that is not good and they don't like that. 
  • You will  see some men and women using sarong. This is a habit,  that has existed since aristocratic times. 
  • Myanmar local call the bellhop with kiss from 2 or 3 times. Exactly like the voice someone call a cat. 
  • Credit cards are not always accepted in Myanmar and in there you will difficult to find an ATM machine. 
  • If Indonesia country you can see some people holding their smart phones, but not for Myanmar country.  In Myanmar there are also not advertisement regarding face book, twitter, instagram and etc because the Internet is very expensive in there.  Myanmar people prefer to meet in person,  not ignorant each other,  not busy each other.
